Iran tree symbolizes life, freedom

Ancient cypress tree of Abarkouh, known as the oldest living organism in Iran, is the symbol of life and freedom.

The tree is slow-growing and nobody knows how old this tree is and there are different estimates around this.

The crpress is also known as Parsik and named the second oldest tree in the world. 

A major tourist attraction with a height of 25 meters and a circumference of 18 meters, the tree was reportedly planted about 4,500 years ago.
